Carrier Corporation has an opening in Charlotte, North Carolina for a
Senior Systems Engineer - Thermal Systems.
Develop new HVAC systems or improve existing systems for
performance/cost. Improve the efficiency of the thermal and expansion
components of a given product. Develop detailed first principles based
systems models, conduct detailed simulations and validate developed
models through experimentation. Improve the thermal design tools,
available skill sets and documentation of best practices.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Ph.D. or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a
related field and at least two years of work experience as an Engineer
in the HVAC field.
Or
Master's degree or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related
field and at least five years of work experience as an Engineer in the
HVAC field Required experience must also include: Proven experience with
Statistical analysis tools such as Minitab; experience with the design
of systems with alternative refrigerants; experience with two phase flow
and design of micro-channel heat exchangers; experience with directing
CFD and FEA tool users in solving fluid flow and structural problems;
and experience with thermal system/heat exchanger modeling using EES
and/or Matlab. Any suitable combination of education, training and
experience would be acceptable.
