· Create Calculation Scripts (write/maintain/enhance)
· Create Load Rules
· Create Report Scripts
· Create Esscmd , MaxL and MDX scripting
· Create Batch Scripts
· Develop scripts to automate key processes (Backups, Cube overnight load and Calcs, Tieouts, etc)
· Import and manipulate data from multiple disparate systems (SQL based, SAS based, Teradata, Informix, and Flat Files), etc.
· Data validation to confirm system outputs are correct (data integrity)
· Create custom Java Scripts to aid in ESSBASE data validation and Metadata Management.
· Maintain BEA WebLogic (Java Application Server that supports Hyperion Reports and Analyzer)
· Other System Architecture maintenance as required (Support of Production, Development and Test Environments)
Reporting:
· Set up and maintain reporting tools - Hyperion Analyzer and Hyperion Reports
· Create end-user GUI, utilizing Hyperion Analyzer and Hyperion Reports
· Create user views/screens and drill-downs utilizing Hyperion Analyzer
· Create user-defined reports using Hyperion Reports
· Schedule reports for automated production
· Create and maintain custom Excel / VBA reports to support both monthly and ad-hoc reporting
Candidate Requirements:
· 3 -5 years of Hyperion EssBase Database Development experience is required. Sound experience in EssBase Database development is essential
· Experience with as many aspects of Hyperion EssBase Database development and maintenance as possible, including Calculation -calc- Scripts (write/maintain/enhance), Load Rules, Report Scripts, Application Manager, Database Tuning and optimization, Configuration Settings, Dense/Sparse Outline Configuration, Esscmd, MaxL and MDX scripting, Batch Scripting, Automation, Backup/Recovery, System Monitoring, Security Filters, EssBase Functions,
· Experience importing data from multiple disparate systems (SQL based, Flat Files), etc. JavaScript, SQL Scripts, etc will be excellent plus for this purpose.
